Wine Moving Boxes
Wine moving boxes are made of corrugated cardboard and contain cell dividers to protect each bottle individually. The wine bottles should be packed on their side as you have them currently. The box should be labeled “Fragile – This Side Up”.
As long as the boxes are double walled, they will be safe enough to use. The inside should have dividers so each bottle is isolated. Styrofoam is ideal for protecting each bottle because of of the cushion it provides.
You might want to strongly consider having your wine shipped in a climate control. 55 degrees is the ideal temperature. The spring and fall are the ideal times to move wine since the temperatures a mild. Extreme temperatures in the winter or summer can affect the appearance and taste of the wine.
Where To Buy Wine Moving Boxes
UHaul has wine shipping kits for 1, 2, 3, 6, and 12 bottles. Each bottle of wine is protected by a styrofoam base and lid. It will accommodate bottles with a diameter of 4″. Pricing depends on the amount of bottles you choose. This is a quality, heavy duty box. This is the best one I have seen personally online.
Moving Boxes For Wine Glasses
The same concept applies for wine glasses. Use double-walled boxes and insert cell dividers to protect each. Each glass should be wrapped in packing paper, and each cell should have bubble wrap or styrofoam to fill the open spaces.
UBoxes offers cardboard cell dividers to protect glassware.
USCargoControl.com has a 24″x12″x12″ moving box for glasses that has 18 separate compartments.
UHaul has a glass pack kit has 18 foam pouches with handholds on the side.
